Just Dance

I researched various forum communities and how they function. For the most part they all have the same objective and way of excuting that objecive. I thought to myself these sites are great but don't have a function to download songs like Limewire or Ares. Nor do they have the function to watch videos like YouTube. So I decided to create a website that incorporated all those aspects and geared to a subject I've never seen completely showcased before online.

My virtual community is about dancehall and conscious reggae. The site is called, “JUST DANCE.” It’s for any age, race, and gender because its all about the music! JustDance.com is a community where people can gather together and discuss and share dancehall and conscious reggae songs/videos. This site allows you to create your own profile, search capabilities for audio and video, forums, and groups about dancehall and conscious reggae music.

I chose to do a site on this particular music because I love this type of music and feel that it would be great to have somewhere I could download the latest songs and videos without having to search high and low for them. Not only did I think easier search capablities would be great but a place where I could find others who have similar interest in my kind of music.

You can view all prototype pages at JustDance.com. Please click on the images to view them in a larger scale. Also make sure to listen to the website's anthem song! Also I conducted research on the purpose of virtual communities and who use them, you can download it here as a PDF.
